The Opportunity

This B2B bootstrapped SaaS insurance tech startup needed brand new creation of a desktop site, from the ground up, to generate a primary revenue source. I was the inaugural UXer in charge of creating the product and marketing materials, as well as infusing UCD principles and processes into the company. This product allowed me to focus on form optimization, data visualization, complicated wizard flows, notification systems, and internal app messaging, primarily.

Accomplishments

Helped our startup gain a significant competitive advantage and saved Founders over 1000 hours per year in reduction of email and admin data entry - by ideating, planning, and designing SaaS website for a primary user group. This site is extraordinarily important as a foundation and primary source of the WatchTower revenue stream. 
Created positive and successful experience for users, per user tests. Results from usability tests indicate that usability of system was highly successful, often resulting in 100% success of task
Introduced company to UCD and UX principles, directing the company to the inclusion of these principles through example and UX evangelism. 
Lead the charge to integrate user and in-app data testing practices into our process.
Created all wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, copy - and often lead our ideation, whiteboarding meetings - for our multiple SaaS products to various users, and conducted functional and visual QA during development. 
Created marketing material including company website and various collateral. I designed and developed WatchTower’s marketing site, which enables them to generate business. The site has led to over 50 online leads.

Form optimization, data visualization, messaging, and notifications

I was the sole designer in charge of rebranding a dated product. This project allowed me to focus on primarily form optimization, data visualization, complicated wizard flows, notification systems, and internal app messaging. I initiated and managed user research, ideation sessions, and workshops; as well as optimized workflows, a new visual design system, and refined copywriting in partnership with the Founder of the company.

Initiating contact and managing workflow through emails for clients

I created all marketing material including company emails. These, combined with WatchTower’s marketing site, enabled them to generate business and led to over 50 online client leads
